Rebab Darek Minangkabau: Kajian Historis dan Pertunjukanya Di Tengah Masyarakat
Abstract
Tujuan: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan rebab darek Minangkabau dalam persefektif sejarah dan pertunjukanya di tengah masyarakat. Melalui tulisan ini akan dideskripsikan tentang masuk dan berkembangnya instrument rebab ke Minangkabau yang di kemudian hari menjadi warisan budaya, tumbuh dan berkembang di tengah masyarakat sampai sekarang. Metode: Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan untuk mendapat informasi dari sumber tertulis atau literatur, observasi (penelitian lapangan) dan interview (wawancara) dengan narasumber terpilih. Hasil dan pembahasan: Secara historis, instrumen rebab yang berkembang di Minangkabau berasal dari Arab dengan negeri asalnya Parsi. Masuk dan berkembang bersamaan dengan penyebaran dan perkembangan agama Islam. Implikasi: Pertunjukan rebab darek erat kaitannya dengan pelaksanaan upacara adat seperti pengangkatan penghulu, alek marapulai (pesta perkawinan), keramaian anak nagari atau bagurau serta konten dalam video YouTube.
